The Carter Family: One month old!

It has been one month already! I can't believe how fast a month has gone!!! We went to the doctor yesterday for Layne's one month check up. She is up to 8lbs and has grown 2 inches. She had to get a shot (which I think mom was more nervous than Layne was) and she did great with it. Jason and I expected her to cry tons, but she didn't even care. I think she cried more when Jason took the bandaid off.

Recently Layne has started lifting her head and has started "talking". If you talk to her she will sometimes talk back...it isn't much, but it's a start! Granny Cat (Grandma Harden) thinks Layne has smiled at her, but I think maybe it was just gas. :) I do think she will be smiling very soon though..she acts like she wants to.
