New boyfriend....
Layne met a new friend named Owen. Owen and his family (Brooke and Matt Hake) were in town from California and stopped by for a visit. Brooke and I (Emily) grew up together and thought it'd be cute to get some pics of the babies.

Bumbo seat and cute clothes
Granny Cat and Poppy bought Layne a Bumbo seat the other night and she LOVES it. She really loves to look around and see what is going on. She also is starting to sit a little bit on her own, but this chair is really great!
We got these clothes for Layne the day after we found out she was a girl. They have been hanging in the closet for about 10 months and mommy was itching to get them on Layne. Good thing it was a little bit cool the past few days and she could wear them! Also, you'll see that she is really into looking at her hands now. Not only can she chew on them she can now see them too!

Reading
Layne decided to read her bible before bed one night this week. She really liked the pictures on the book.

We tried cereal with Layne today. It was super thin so it mostly just ran out of her mouth! :) Here are some pictures of her experience
